This group is open to anyone who has lost a pet. Registration: Denise Brack, 781-585-4221
Our animals bring us so much joy and unconditional love. They are our companions, our friends, our family. When we lose a beloved pet, we lose a piece of our hearts. This support group gives all who are dealing with such a loss a safe place to share; to honor both the grief they feel and the memory of their beloved companion.
Facilitators: Maryellen Hunter has worked professionally with dogs for over 20 years. Through her own, as well as her clients’ pet losses, she has seen firsthand how painful and devastating it can be and that it is often compounded by a lack of understanding from those who do not share their lives with companion animals. It is her hope to give those who have lost a pet a safe haven to mourn openly without fear of being judged.
Elizabeth Binari is a life long animal lover and is currently working towards certification in equine massage. She feels that we not only share our heart with our animals, but our soul as well. So, when we lose a beloved companion, we also lose a part of ourselves. By providing a supportive forum to share feelings of sorrow and loss, she believes that the journey to healing can and will begin.
