Mike’s Club – Support groups for bereaved children, teens and their families

We offer separate groups for children and parenting adults coping with death related loss. The children process their grief through activities, arts and crafts, and games, with the help of trained support staff. Pizza and drinks provided. Groups meet every other week 6:30-8pm.

Family Night for Children and Their Families who have experienced the loss of a sibling, parent/caregiver or grandparent

Wednesday, Feb. 20, and April 17, 6-7:30

Mike’s Club – Support group for children, teens & their families dealing with cancer and other life-limiting illnesses

Sundays, December 16, 3-4:30. (next dates: Jan. 13, Feb. 10, Mar. 10)

A free monthly support group and education program for children, teens and their families who have a member of their household (parent, sibling, etc.) dealing with cancer or other life limiting illness. Pizza will be served and then creative expression and group discussion are utilized to help children access their feelings, connect with other children and feel supported. Pregnancy, Infant and Toddler Loss Bereavement Group for Parents

This peer led group is open to any parent coping with the death a child at any stage of pregnancy or the death of an infant.  These are peer led groups; the facilitators are also parents who have lost a child.  Sundays: 6-7:30pm: Fall Session: 12/9, 12/23. 2019: 1/6, 1/20, 2/3, 2/17, 3/3, 3/17, 3/31, 4/14, 4/28, 5/12, (no 5/26), 6/9, 6/23, (no 6/30), 7/14, 7/28. This peer led group is open to any parent coping with the death of a child of any age to overdose. This is a peer led group; the facilitators are also parents who have lost a child. Ongoing Suicide Loss Bereavement Group

This peer led group is for anyone who has lost a loved one to suicide. Just for Dads: Support Group for Dads who have Lost a Child

This new monthly offering is for Dads who have lost a child for any reason. A casual get together, sit around the fire, gathering. Thursdays, 6:30-8:00.  12/6, 12/20. 2019: 1/3, 1/17, 1/31, 2/14,  2/28, 3/14, 3/28. Register with Denise at 781-585-4221 x3

 

Daytime Partner/Spouse Loss Bereavement Group

Pet Loss Bereavement Group

Friday, December 7, 6:30-7:30. Our animals bring us so much joy and unconditional love. They are our companions, our friends, our family. When we lose a beloved pet, we lose a piece of our hearts. This support group gives all who are dealing with such a loss a safe place to share; to honor both the grief they feel and the memory of their beloved companion. Holistic Cancer Retreat. Sunday, January 5, 9-4:30

If you have recently been impacted by a cancer diagnosis, please join us at Hope Floats for a day of rest and renewal created especially for you.
Enjoy a gentle yoga class, group support, a nourishing noon meal as well as varied holistic treatments.  Our gifted practitioners, facilitators and volunteers will offer you a nurturing space to find an oasis of comfort and ease as you navigate this challenging time. (As we want to make sure you are able to fully participate and enjoy this day of support, if you are currently undergoing treatment, please obtain a signed letter of permission from your doctor). A Hope Floats group led by trained, peer volunteers. “I’m Right Here!” How our loved ones in spirit communicate through signs

Thursdays, March 25, April 11, April 25, 6-7:30

With Teresa Lally & Maryellen Hunter. In this workshop series, we will introduce/expound upon the idea that our loved ones in spirit are always around us, aware of everything going on in our lives and wanting to comfort and communicate with us by sending signs on a regular basis. We will explore and discuss what these many signs may be and how we can become more open and attuned to receiving them.

Retreat for Parents Who Have Lost Children to Overdose

9am-4:00pm. Please join us for a relaxing and healing retreat just for parents who have lost children to overdose. Relax with meditation, therapeutic stretching and mini-healing treatments given by our certified and talented practitioners. Explore the benefits of Reiki, Healing Touch, chair massage and more. There is also time for group discussions, exploring the peaceful grounds and we provide a wonderful lunch. This retreat is an opportunity to take care of yourself and meet other parents. We gain so much from sharing and being with others who understand the difficult road we are on.
