Transforming Grief (Parents who Have Lost Children)

This group does not seek how to change grief into something more palatable; rather, it is a different kind of support group that invites an exploration of how grief has transformed us, in constructive, even beneficial ways. Each week we will look for and examine the nuggets of wisdom and positivity amongst the rubble of despair and heartbreak. While there will always be moments of sadness, times of tears, and even days when we don’t feel like getting out of bed, the goal is to assimilate and focus on those positive changes, giving new reserves of strength and hope. Each week there will be a different topic/theme that we will explore through discussion and “heartwork”- assignments that participants will journal about and share at the following group. (For those who are 3 years or more post loss) Tuesday 4-5:15pm. New dates TBA.  A Hope Floats group led by trained, peer volunteers. Registration, Denise Brack at 781-585-4221
