Qi Gong- for energy
Qi Gong (chee-gong) is an ancient Chinese self-health care practice that integrates physical postures, breathing techniques, and focused intention. Students will learn correct posture and engage in gentle, rhythmic movements with slow, deep abdominal breathing. Qi Gong reduces stress, builds stamina, increases vitality, and enhances the immune system. It has also been found to improve the cardiovascular, respiratory, circulatory, lymphatic and digestive functions, leaving you more energized throughout your day.
Tai Chi – for balance
Achieve balance in mind, body, and spirit and improve circulation for a better, healthier you. During these classes students will become more aware of their bodies and learn to harness their “chi,” the internal energies. Tai Chi is an ancient Chinese form of slow dance exercise that incorporates meditation. It promotes healing and prevents injuries while increasing your range of motion and breathing. Tai Chi improves your mental focus, coordination, and overall health. Fang has been an instructor in Taiwan and the United States, 10 years in the United States; current 4 years affiliation with Jungle Plex, Plymouth; additional classes at The Pine Hills Stonebridge Club, the Simple Soothing Sanctuary in Kingston, Radius Health Care Center, and the Plymouth Council on Aging.
